Scheme 1B Results Entry Guidelines

  • The first page will be to submit your method used for testing the samples. Once this page has been saved, the data will be used to pre-populate the form for future submissions, so it only needs to be completed for the first samples or if you wish to make a change.
  • The 2nd page is where you will indicate your testing result by selecting from the dropdown box.
  • An ‘equivocal’ report is accepted for laboratories that are unable to determine a positive or negative result (i.e. by flow cytometry) and their normal clinical procedure would be to refer the sample to another laboratory. ‘Equivocal’ results will not be assessed. Technical failures and other issues should be reported as ‘Not Tested’.
  • Technical issues/invalid results (e.g. control failures, quality issues) reported as ‘Not tested’ will not be assessed. Reasons for not testing need to be reported on the final result entry page.
  • If you are using a molecular typing method, you are welcome to state which HLA-B*27 alleles/allele groups, if any, were detected in the comments box – this is used for Participant information only.
  • For any queries with reporting, please contact us.
